The First Week

It's hard to believe Timothy is over a week old already. It's been a great first week with the little guy. He is very mellow and content and sleeps so much more than his sister did as a newborn. Kristen absolutely adores him and insists on kissing him all the time.

We've been so lucky to have a lot of help. Robin (Michael's mom) flew into town on Saturday and has been a huge help, especially with Kristen. Also, the moms group from our church has been providing us with meal support allowing us to spend more time getting to know our newest addition and less time worrying about cooking.

In other big news, my brother Stephen got engaged on Monday. Michael and I are so happy for you Steve!

Robin brought Kristen her first Cubs hat and made sure we knew it came from Wrigley Field. Kristen loves her new hat and I've conceded that she will be a Cubs fan.

Welcome to the World: Timothy James Cole 9/16/08

Timothy James was born on September 16th at 3:13 am. I had a very difficult pregnancy, suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum for the duration. Because of this my doctor induced me at 39 weeks. My induction started at 4:30 pm on the 15th and went very smoothly. Timothy entered the world early in the morning the next day. He had a healthy cry and APGARs of 9 and 9.

My little boy wasn't so little. He was 21 inches long and weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces. This took us all by surprise since I had been so sick throughout my pregnancy and his sister weighed 9-3 at her 2 month appointment.

Introduction

Welcome to The Cole Family blog. We decided to create this blog as an easy way to share pictures of our growing family. Our little family consists of Karen (me), Michael, and our two beautiful children Kristen and Timothy. Kristen is now 20 months old and Timothy was just born on September 16th.
